Our second Lent walk took us to the edge of our parish boundary, following the route of the Birmingham Mainline Canal. It was interesting to see the changes taking place, with urban decay being cleared for new housing and offices. The area opposite All Saints has been cleared and we could see the view from canal to church that will make us the focal point of the new development. An exciting challenge for the local church to rise to and something reflected on in prayer in the time in church afterwards.
